Tyler Star News

Conditioning means everything in sports if you want a chance to come out on top. Tyler Consolidated Girls Volleyball team has spent most of their summer working to get in tip-top shape for the 2019 season that's fast approaching. On Saturday, they went as a team and entered the Parkersburg News and Sentinel Two Mile Race.

Hot and humid conditions didn't stop them as they ran as a team to show their support for each other and help bond together for what looks to be another exciting season of Knights Volleyball. Even though they lost six quality players from last year, things are looking good for Coach Richar Summers team, as several girls with game experience and a few newcomers have spent the majority of their of season time in the weight room and on the court honing their skills and working on coming together as a team.

Saturday was just another example of what it means to be a Silver Knight Volleyball player, by joining in you become not only a team member but what they consider a part of their family. It's not uncommon for players from teams past to show up at any given time and help provide tips on what it takes to be winners. Coach Summers always tells the girls once they become a Silver Knight Volleyball player they are part of the Knights family forever.
