Helping One Another in Tyler County

January 30, 2019
Tyler Star News

We are so grateful for the folks at Sistersville United Methodist Church who have decided to open their doors once a month to serve a hot breakfast and offer basic necessities to those in need.

We know there are other area churches, as well, whose members have opened their hearts and hands to help the less fortunate - through clothing closets and monthly feeds, for instance.

We also know there are other organizations and community members outside of the churches who have organized charitable endeavors. For instance, Jennifer Negie's "Warm the Winter" campaign sought to ensure those in need had mittens, scarves, and blankets to keep them warm during the coldest days of the year.

We feel very much fortunate to live in an area where so many strive to help one another and make a difference.

We encourage our readers to consider how they can help the less fortunate. Each act of kindness adds up.
