Silver Knights Go 1-2 in Tri-Match

Tyler Consolidated in a tune up for the sectionals, played in a Ouad-Match at Robert C. Bryd high scool on Wednesday, October 25. In their first match of the night against the pwerful home team the Knights played well but fell to the bigger school in straight sets 25-13 and 25-14. JoLee Walton had a huge night and in match one against Phillip Barbour she recorded 34 sets, 11 assists, one block, five digs, six points and two aces. Josey Jones also had a good match with four kills, five digs and one point. Alexa Johnson, recored five kills, two blocks and a dig. Emily Lancaster had a kill, three blocks at the net, three digs, two points with both being aces.

Freshman Regan Smith, got three kills, two blocks, two digs, and three points. Cora Grimm led the team with 11 digs, four sets, one assist, and a point. Madison DeVaughn got three digs and a point and Allie Miller added a dig.

The Silver Knights picked up a win against Buckhanan Upshur with two straight set wins 25-19 and 25-22. Walton again led the team with 42 sets, 20 assists, seven digs and nine points. Johnson , had 10 kills in the match and added three blocks, Emily Lancaster filled the stat sheet with eight points, six digs, four kills and two blocks.

Cory Grimm played her usual steady game with 14 digs, eight sets, three assists and five service points. Regan Smith ended with one kill, one block, and three points. Sadie Nichols got two digs. Madison DeVaughn had four digs and three points and Allie Miller one kill and four digs. Jones ended the match witheight kills, one block, six digs and two points.

The match against Morgantown saw the Knights take set one 24-26 but the Mohigans came back to capture the match with 25-20 and 25-16 wins. Jones played well for the Knights as she had 10 kills and 10 digs, plus two points and a block. Johnson got 11 kills and a block.

Emily Lancaster played well with seven kills two blocks, and three digs. Smith had three kills, four blocks, one dig and a point. Grimm added eight sets, two assists, 12 digs and five points. Peyton Kocher, had six digs and one point and Allie Miller got two blocks and three digs. DeVaughn six digs, and seven points.

JoLee Walton led the team with 65 sets, 23 assists, two blocks, seven digs and 11 points.
