September 27, 2017
Tyler Star News

The Tyler Consolidated Silver Knights scored quick and often on Friday Night, as they had their way with an out manned Calhoun County team. On the first Friday football game of the fall, the Knights gave the annual homecoming crowd something to cheer about as they wasted little time in getting the first score en-route to a 63-0 blasting of the visiting Cougars,

On their second play from scrimmage, Junior Quarterback Griffin Phillips handed off to Mark Rucker who went in untouched for the 10 yard T.D. to give Tyler a quick 8-0 lead after Phillips punched in the two point conversion run with 11:28 to play in the first.

The Silver and Black added another score with 9:00 still left in the frame when Kyle Mason took off on a 48 yard jaunt down the sideline to lift the Knights to a 13-0 lead and it was then off to the races.
