Lemasters, Anderson Earn Honors

Silver Knights senior track star Jarrett Lemasters broke the school pole vault record on Tuesday, April 4, with a 14-00.00 and helped his team to the meet win with 16 individual points and 36 total team points overall.

Jarrett’s pole vault record record eclipsed the old school mark of 13-6 held by his brother. Jarrett also added six points with a third place finish in the 110 meter hurdles and helped the team 4×100 relay to victory running the first leg of the race.

He also added another first place finish being a part of the 4×110 meter shuttle team. The Knights outdistanced the field of six with 185 points to Clay Battelle’s 105. Lemasters , mother “Jill Lemasters” is the Tyler Consolidated track coach.

Special honorable mention for this week goes to Tyler Anderson, who helped the team accumulate 36 points as he won the open 200 meter for 10 points and finished second in the long jump for eight, giving him an individual total of 18. Anderson ran the last leg of the winning 4×100 relay and the last leg of the second place 4×200 meter at the Clay Battelle meet.

Honorable mention this week goes to the Silver Knights Nathan Barker and Mark Rucker, Paden City’s Hayden Hizer and Aaron Heasley, Silver Knights baseball player Luke Daugherty and Knights girls track star Emily Lemasters.
