Silver Knights Handed First Loss of the Season

Tyler Consolidated fell behind 4-0 to St. Mary’s after two innings but came back with two of its own in the bottom of the third, only to allow two more to the visitors in the fourth and another in the sixth.

The Silver Knights rallied in the bottom of the seventh with three runs but it wasn’t enough as the Blue Devil’s handed the Knights thier first loss of the year 7-5.

The loss dropped the Knights to 5-1 on the season. Senior pitcher-third baseman Nate Lantz took the loss for the Knights .

Luke Daughety came in relief in the third and Dylan Roberts pitched the last three innings, striking out four and walking two. Colby Buchanan doubled in the third resulting in a Knights run while Kyle Mason also added a double.
