Paden City Police and scores

February 17, 2017
Tyler Star News

Good morning Tyler County.

Paden City Police Chief Bob Postlethwait has submitted his resignation to City Hall. Pending a city council meeting next week to approve Postlethwait's resignation and a vote to advertise for a new chief, his last day will be Feb. 28.

Postlethwait was appointed in late March as police chief in the wake of Joseph Richardson's termination as police chief.

More on this story will appear in the next edition.

In sports news, Braxton County's boys' basketball team defeated Tyler Consolidated, 75-56, on Thursday at home. Silver Knights' Jace Reed led the way with 15 points while Dylan Roberts had 12 and Griffin Phillips netted 10. Don't worry. The boys will be playing again tonight against Liberty Harrison -- OVAC Consolations.

Look at that matchup. Tyler Consolidated's girls' team will play the Wildcats for the Region 1, Section 2, tonight at St. Marys. That ought to be a good game. Anyone thinking "road trip"?
