To the Editor:

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the responders from both the Middlebourne and Sistersville Volunteer Fire Departments at the garage fire on Heritage Lane in the early hours of July 8. When you arrived, an attack line was set up and water was put on my house and propane tank to prevent further complications. You guys and gals did exceptionally well with the limited amount of water on your units. I have been a member of the emergency response team at my workplace for 35 years, so I have had a lot of training and know what an emergency response should look like. I was very pleased to see that the responders were obviously well-trained and responded properly. Your members worked well together and you should be proud of what you have accomplished. God bless you all, because our small communities need people like you. When the excitement was over, I still had a house and a bed to sleep in and it was all due to your efforts.

My sincere heartfelt thanks,

Greg Gorby
