At the OVAC Track and Field Championships held in St. Clairsville last week, Paden City High School was able to have a couple of athletes place in a few events at the huge competition.

In the girls shot put competition, Lady Wildcat Cydney Blatt placed 12th overall with a put of 30-07.

In the boys division, sophomore Deven Price placed 15th overall in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 18.16, and 14th in the 300 meter hurdle event in 45.11.

Paden City's shuttle team placed ninth overall among the competition at the meet with a time of 1:05.37 (Pierce, Frye, Myers, Price).

Paden City and Tyler Consolidated's teams will travel to Lewis County on Wednesday evening to compete at the Region I Regional track and field championships.

Both the Knights and Lady Knights look to recapture the Regional titles they earned last year, but it looks to be a tough competition with 10 other teams competing.

Teams hoping to unseat the Silver Knights in every competition at the meet will be: Paden City, Bishop Donahue, Cameron, Clay Battelle, Hundred, Madonna, Magnolia, St. Marys, Trinity Christian, Valley and Wheeling Central.
