Happy Mother’s Day mom, “You make me proud”

May 8, 2013
Tyler Star News

Mothers worldwide are proud of their children, they have every reason to be. They are proud of their achievements and accomplishments, their home runs, musical talents, art projects, good deeds, and good grades. They are proud of them for mowing the grass, cleaning their rooms, and everything in between. Moms have many occasions to show their pride for their offspring, which they do at every opportunity, but it's not often their children get the same chance.

With Mother's Day and high school graduation right around the corner, mothers and their offspring alike are feeling even stronger, the ties that bind. Seniors at Tyler Consolidated and Paden City high schools took the time to share a Mother's Day message and the pride they have in their own moms.

"I am proud of my mother because she is an amazing person," said Shay Yonaley about her mother, Julie.
